Such lovely book! Wonderful family rocked by their parents sudden death and how the oldest daughter, a college student stepped up to the bat and raised the kids. So impressive and inspiring. Loved every chapter !!
Great lesson on letting go and letting adult children learn to spread their wings. Even if they are going to fall out of the nest and land on their beaks
Great story, another awesome book by Danielle. Nothing but the best from her as she is the best. I have every book, from the very first book to the last book (even pre-ordered the next one coming out in July) and I won't even let people borrow them as I'm afraid I won't get it back or get in back in "like new" condition.
A sister who became guardian of her deceased sister's three young children to raise is exceptional. She gave up so much to her "new family" that her life became their mother, willingly so, with no regrets and much happiness for all of them. A pleasant read with an ending for each of them that will make you glad you read it. Some happy surprises, too!
It seemed to be the same story outline she has written over and over with just different characters. Not much feeling or even description of people or places. Almost like a paint by number picture where the story just got filled into a set outline. I wonder if Ms. Steele even wrote it? I guess after that many books you run out of fresh new ideas and characters, it was an easy read, and I got it for almost free so overall it was an easy way to pass some free time.
Good read but not one of her best. Found it to be a bit slow. Overall I would say it was simply okay!
Danielle Steel always has something to write about! I loved reading Family Ties. I bought this book in paperback which I rarely do since I love hardcover books. The reason was that's what was available at the time and I really wanted to read this book. I wasn't disappointed. It's easy to get into and the only problem I have is Danielle Steel's style is to constantly repeat herself, explaining something again and again. When I not irritated by that I zoom on through her books enjoying the story immensely.
