This is more like a flashcard book which is great because its just the meat - so to speak- of the medical terminology books.The other medical terminology books have the background, history, and basic info you need to understand and use medical terminology in addition to the words themselves.
I used this book after using Medical Terminology for Dummies to take a basic medical terminology test for work.
The Medical Terminology Book for Dummies was great to give me the foundation, but when it came time to study - I didn't want to flip back and forth between chapters to just study the words. So this book was great for studying - and great as a reference at work since it is basically the nitty gritty for those who don't need all the additional info.

This book is just a snippet of medical terminology. It has only a small amount of information. If you are looking to really learn medical terminology, get a more advanced book.
I just needed a terminology book, to help me understand the building of words. it has helped me get through my EMR class.

This mall book is great for a review coarse. It helps with figuring out medical terms. However of you are looking for definitions of the terms too, it isn't the right book.
Very useful tool
Who can't use help learning Medical Terminology. This book has been a great help to me. Before I got it I just couldn't grasp the concepts of all the terms required in my studies.
This work is a very good basic primer on the basics of medical terminology. However it needs more examples of word formulation and practice exercises. Without this detail it is just an enhanced medical dictionary. It is recommended that a basic knowledge of anatomy is gained before successfully using this book.
